1. Can someone give me moderator access to this new LAN XII forum please.

2. TL, Rob caught me on the way out. We need to confirm the dates as they've got two on the system. I told him I thought it was the first weekend in November (2nd, 3rd & 4th) but that you'd confirm by email. He asked for it asap please.

3. If those dates are confirmed can we please post them up asap to give the mainland euros plenty of time to sort their flights.

Thanks

We briefly discussed putting the LAN fess up from £15 to £20

What do you all think?

I think it's great value and people will be happy to pay the extra £5.
When you factor in the amount of money people spend getting to/staying at the LAN, £20 isn't a lot.

My initial thought is 'not yet'.

I'm just a bit uncomfortable with the fact that it's the the LAN attendees who basically pay the hosting/bandwidth fees for the whole community. The LAN weekend might be seen as a money-making exercise if we pump up the fees without just cause.

OK my bad.

I kinda posted then removed the bit about raising the fees and got picked up on it by Ninja. I shouldn't have posted it and it was only there for a little bit.

I'll make a separate post outlining his comments.

I take on board your point about a money-making scheme but I guess that as it's the LAN participants which *are* funding the server - like it or not, then funds needs to be raised.

I guess this is all a bit premature anyway as there are other things in the pipeline regarding funds.

Apologies to all if I jumped the gun ..... I shall now get back into my box.

Cheers
