Cheating

As an admin I feel I know too little about the cheating that is ruining our beloved game. I spent 15 minutes this morning looking for CS Hacks and was amazed at what's available. Most claim to bypass VAC, CD and HLG. This is extremely worrying.

I'm going to try and learn as much as possible and keep you, my fellow admins, informed of my findings. Please feel free to help in my quest for knowledge.

My aim is to try and be as knowledgable as the hackers and to be able to spot the use of hacks with more certainty.

I've ordered a new copy of HalfLife so I can test these hacks and not get my 'proper' WONID banned. I know that sounds drastic but recent events have forced me to act.

I considered looking into this a few months ago (after watching a certain member closely) but decided against it as i like the idea of everyone not cheating (MH only) IF i started looking into this stuff i would start to watch everyone for the tell tail signs and decided it would/may ruin the game for me.
If you are happy to do it mate go fo it.
I have HL generations which came with 3 id's if ya want the other 2 let me know.

I know what you mean Smite. I may still decide that my old way of "assume everyone's clean" is better. But I do feel I know too little about the subject.

Errr, ADULT CONTENT warning for the above file. I had my two kids next to me when I watched that (they sidled up behind me midway through the demo). I have never turned off a monitor so fast - I think the off switch is buried about 2 inches deep in it now 8O

Sorry about that m8. I didn't watch the entire movie. I found it late last night and just linked it before I went to bed. And yes cheating sucks ... the rest of you can draw your own conclusions. :lol:
