Caught a cheater.

What they do is pretend to accidently false start, telepit, which nullifys their penalty, drive into a pit space do their pitstop (no damage of course) and carry on. This all takes just a few seconds and the rest of the field have only gone a little way and of course they still have to pit. Keep an eye out for people that false start and telepit immediately. Thanks L56 for pointing this out to me.

Is there anything on the lfs forum about it, reporting it as an exploit?

It's a bit longwinded to put in the MOTD or a console message but we need to know that everyone sees that this won't be tolerated and will result in bloody retribution.

I never get it why people hack or cheat, it's a game ffs...

Ah, it's just a game but if I can just beat these other people I feel so much better about myself knowing I'm better than them.

The MOTD should read "Welcome to dMr, have fun and don't cheat. We kick and we ban, pray we never find out where you live."

Another instance has been reported this morning. Same scenario. Keep an eye out for it. I did report it as a bug on LFS forum some while ago but it wasn't taken seriously. I know what they're doing as do you. 999 year ban for the next little git that tries it on. :ranting2:

The crazy thing is if your not aware of it you'd never had know that it had happened, apart from the odd feeling of how the hell did they make up that amount of time????
Even Though I was aware it goes on I still didn't realise what he was doing until I pitted and he passed me and he didn't need to pit, then it dawned on me.

One to keep an eye out for, in fact anyone who pits at the start will make me suspicious and worth a look at, there is nothing worse than all your hard work and talent go to waist by someone making up 20+ secs by warping to the pits and pitting while your on the grid waiting for the lights to change green LOL
