From CS Nation ...

QuoteIGN PC has posted a release date on Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. The original release date was nearly a year earlier than the current release date, September 9th, 2003. VALVe has been late on several releases in the past, so you know what to expect!

......I take it that will be the Twin Powers Edition (Valve + Half Life) of CS then??

slightly unsubtle time to release a T v CT game methinks!!

This is Valve we're talking about. The mighty software company that in it's seven year history has managed to produce.....

Half_Life..........................................................hurrah
Team Fortress..................................................just multi-player Half-Life
Counter-Strike Retail........................................written by someone else
and err that's about it   :(

Hardly a powerhouse of game development is it.

So to produce CS:CZ in the same time span that most software developers need to release half a dozen games, seems fair for the old plodders in my book. Role on the next missed deadline

It used the same engine, which was my point i.e. not a complete new game.

Tutonic

Not a powerhouse games developer, but they only churn out good games :)

Half-Life, CS, TFC, DoD, its all good....

Gimme Valve over Electronic Arts any day :D

No one is questioning their quality just their work rate.

CS:CZ has taken a farcical amount of time, and even if September is actually the date the game is released it's still far longer than most developers take to produce several games. Delay after delay after delay is becoming a bit of a joke
