Overclockers seem to have a few of these sticks on their site. I might just wait for ddr3 seeing as i am still on ddr400 .

Tbh, performance is quiteimpressive considoring these are the first mobo's sticks we see hitting the streets, i give em 6-8 months and we will prolly see our great DDR2 sticks eat the dust rather hard

...and don't forget you'll need a nice new board for that nice new memory as it doesn't fit in DDR2 slots.

DDR2 prices seem to be scraping the bottom at the moment so possibly a good time to look for deals there. I'm thinking get a good mature stable setup with a 6600 or similar, pc6400 to allow some overclocking headroom, a decent enough motherboard ... should last another couple of years with an 8800 gts of some flavour ...of course if quad cores drop massively in price as promised a QX6600 might be the way to go! motherboard will keep that in mind I think, just in case 4 cores becomes useful enough!

As Gorion said I wouldn't worry too much just yet unless you're the sort that buys stuff on the cutting edge frequently
