Hello everybody, Doorman pointed me in the direction of your forum so thought as I have been making use of your server I should come say hi. I am totally new to LFS (as Im sure is obvious online) but really enjoying it partly thanks to finding your server that is so friendly and encouraging to newbies, so thanks, looking forward to trying my hand at the long race tonight.

You're doing fine, no worries there. You've seen first hand how things work round here, take a wander round the forums and take a look at what passes for house rules.:blink:

Tonight is going to be a survival race, those kerbs can end a race in an instant so keep focussed. Don't let Doorman advise you on fuel loads either! Keep it tidy (unlike me) and hang in until the finish. With long stops possible on a short lap, watch your mirrors for lappers, lift off a bit when possible and just let them get on with it.
We're not the sort to :taz: at a backmarker if they're not out of your way in 3 nanoseconds, give them a :byebye:as they head off to their next accident .

Get on Ventrilo too, it's a must.

Hey EarlHaz. I hope you enjoy your stay, making it for as long as possible, i'm not a racer myself, so that's one less dangerious driver speeding into you. (For the better I believe.)

Well done Earl, glad you made it. As BFC said, you're doing really well. I started to watch the last race last night and you held on to the lead like a pro, despite being severly harried by er....someone. Shame about the 'off' though.
About fuel strategies; Alright, so I ran out of gas on lap 15 of a 30 lapper...once. These buggers won't let me forget it. :sideways:
