Gone_Away

now that is some sweet ****..

Liberator

Did I miss 4 and 5?

Mr Ford looks very old in the 'comic con' footage.

Nice to see Ray Winstone is becoming very hot property in Hollywood.

This is almost a bit embarrassing to confess, but I've actually never watched any of the Indiana Jones movies... Don't know why really, don't have any good reason to be honest...

Guess I'll just have to get hold of 'em and get started :)

I hope while typing that you were simultaneously ordering the box set through the affiliate links, and selecting "light speed delivery".

I say hope, it was more of a passing thought....the moment has passed for me now. hehe, lightspeed.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.

Arrrrh! go see them!

They are really great movies. Still prefer #1 :)

:withstupid:, although Last Crusade is good fun.

True. It is a close run-up between the two. Temple of Doom is too much of a kiddie flick, although still good fun to watch as a kid.

I've read that George and Steven have cooked up a really good script for the 4th installment although it doesn't include Sean Connery...

Liberator

Lets just hope they haven't managed to cook up a Jar Jar Binks character to spoil this long awaited film.

That would be... I don't have words for that. A "funny" sidekick extravaganza would ruin it... the kid in Temple of Doom is already close...

Interesting facts there:

Like Sean Connery turned it down due to retirement and the (wonderful, in my opinion) decision to use stunt men instead of gfx.

Release date (worldwide?) is May 22nd.

And here is the movie poster:

I can't wait :yahoo:Crystal skulls remind me of the Aztecs...

Went to see this Saturday night, and it truly was one of the most disappointing films I've ever seen.

Take all the great action, scripts, music, humor, and set-pieces from the first three films...

dump them...

then cobble together a terrible plot about aliens, throw in a tired looking harrison, add ridiculously unbelievable sequences with cruddy cgi (the monkeys, the waterfalls, the ants that can climb on top of each other, the "surviving a nuclear bomb in a fridge" scene), whilst wasting great character actors like hurt and winstone.  Truly an awful film.

The old films you could suspend your disbelief because it was never too crazy and there was little or no cgi, but this new film really jumps the shark.

Please, Lucas & Spielberg, stop ruining my childhood memories of great films gone by :crying:Retire now and spare us
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better

I was disappointed as well. I mean, if this was not an Indy film, just another adventure this year, it would be ... good for killing time... considering the legacy, it is quite poor. There are good, funny action scenes, but th movie suffers from a sense of urgency. Harrison Ford said "if not in 2008, then never" and Spielberg and Lucas picked up the pace. This shows everywhere. Especially in the latter part of the film, where the pace speeds up enormously to just get to the ending.

So sad.

Luminance

watched it friday night.
I thoughed it was a fun movie (not very spielbergy though)
I don't know if he scrwed it up, since it was my first indianna jones really.

Really liked the lead fridge feature though. but its true that its a bit over the top
