I know there is a lot of bad blood, but public baiting doesn't help anyone. I do understand the feelings and frankly I have no sympathy (for vG). Mad should know better and Doris was quick to switch, but let's face it, any harm done apart from some trust issues?

I'm as disappointed / angry / upset as anyone as I thought Mad / Doris in particular were better people. I was wrong, hey ho, dMw is still going strong, and carrying round old shite will only drag the entire forum and community down from where it's got to.

Let's not make the forum look like an old boys club to anyone potentially reading to see how things happen here.


2 cents as usual, and agree or not, it looks bad to independent individuals reading the forum - take our new starters, do we want to dredge all that shite up again?

I'm hugely disappointed that a post meant to celebrate Whitey's achievement has degenerated into a mud slinging session (I've just banned VV for the post he made).

I take some of the blame for the 'good riddance' comment but, like others, the anniversary also brought back memories of the intense anger I felt at the time for the way MAD_ness and his cronies planned to screw us over.

They're history. Time to move on.

Firstly, my apologies to Whitey for turning his moment of glory into a mud slanging match; I feel very bad about that as it has detracted from his achievement.

I agree with the sentiments that as admins we need to be squeeky clean and acknowledge that, on this ocaassion I let the side down.


With regard to what I actually said to Doris I in no way feel apologetic, however, I would happily see the whole let of them banned from the forums. I cannot believe that they can come on our forums all smiley and back slapping after the descipable way they treated dMw in the past. I feel even more strongly about this than OB as being ex military the highest creeds are loyalty and truth and vG have gone WAAAY over the mark on that.

Finally I'll leave you with a cheap shot: Maybe if vG sold some of the many trophies they have got they could afford to pay for their website?
