I didn't know that you used to have votes until you mentioned it.  I had a look at the old forum and it looked like a good idea  (maybe it wasn't and that's why it stopped but hopefully someone will tell me if that's the case).  So blame that Squonk chap for making me look into it.  We've never voted on anyone since I've been an admin, so it's not that we're voting for one and not another.

If this works out and you guys think it's a better way to do it then we can use a vote for all future CS Charlies.

I will still be following the process we have in place in the Head/Section Admin forum.
I just want to put something in place that doesn't reply on me being on the servers most nights of the week (not that I'm going anywhere but you never know what life will throw up).  Between all of the CS Admins we have good server coverage. I might miss someone who deserves promotion or worse promote someone who plays up whenever I'm not on the server.

I'd agree with all that's been said. Have you thought about putting a duration of membership as a caveat. Being as he's only been here 5 months.....

Doris and Madness were here for ages before they turned into assholes. I'd like to think T-Bag wouldn't but it would make Charlie a little more exclusive and worth sticking around for?

6 months bravo, 1 year charlie (plus good behaiviour input etc)

Maybe something to think about after this one.

its just that a post went up for bob joining then a vote for TBag so i was a little unclear of what was going on..

That's not strictly true Steve.

Most, if not all, promotions are discussed in the section/Head admin section. section admins can't really just promote whomever they feel like and they all do get discussed in one way or another and others get to voice their opinions.

Bob was promoted after such discussion - except that discussion didn't take place 'here' as it wasn't a CS-promotion - more of a dMw promotion.

There is a dichotomy between CS based promotions and others (such as Bob) which is something that OB / TL are going to discuss and address.

FWIW, I think that CS-based promotions should be discussed 'here' as Whitey has done because there's a greater chance that several admins are in a good position to comment on that player. There is less point in discussing, say, someone that Ron thinks should be made Charlie at dMr as it's likely that none of us will know them.
