Didn't ought to be too much hassle in the 'controlability' stakes. So maybe there'll be some nice close racing.

Already regretting. UF1 is so slow my blood pressure gets high only because of that. Should have said XFG for example

That'll learn ya. :D

All in all a good week's racing. If only the wall collision physics were more realistic! The tiniest mistake could ruin a good race, but hey ho.:)
The most exasperating incident had to be for Jas who, in a fit of excitement, discovered a key on his keyboard than did a complete shutdown! Right next to F12! From what I hear the racing up the sharp end was close. Any reports?

Well....

It all started when someone (hint hint ;) ) told me to go in to ventrilo. I knew that it'd be the doom of me. I'm the kind of the man who stops doing whatever he's doing at the moment while he speaks, or vica versa, stops speaking while doing things. I ain't got no multitasking skills. None. Nix. Absolutely nothing. Like a real man. Multitasking is for women. :D

So it looked like this: I was in the corner complex part of SO, right in the middle of that left-right-right chicane, suspecting nothing. But then, right at the point when you should transit the weight of your car carefully from the left to the right while driving 5cm away from the walls, someone asked me something innocent. Like "do you know what spitting the dummy means, Iron?". BANG! That was the wall. And my car. Just experiencing close relationship. :roflmao: Behind me came dfpbroken and Aquilifer, both passed me while I was busy figuring out what to answer. Or even what that question means in the first place. :lmfao: There was no brainpower left for such lower tasks as driving. Who needs brainpower for driving anyway? You should do it by instinct, like real professionals do! Yeah. Just don't come to me complaining after you wrecked your car.

This is the (not quite) authentic descripton of the story. :D

Here I should grab the opportunity to put in a disclaimer: everything I say or said in ventrilo while I'm driving could be complete rubbish as expected from someone who is not in his right mind. I also don't take the responsibility for any questions directed at me which stays unanswered by me due to not enough brainpower left for processing said questions. :lmfao:

On a more serious sidenote:

I had a good battle with Deetz right from the start which he won and made some space between us. Then I made a major mistake so dfpbroken and Aquilifer passed me. This disturbed me even more, so I lost some time, but I managed to catch up and overtake Aquilifer. Dfpbroken went into pits just as I caught up to him. At then next few laps Aquilifer and I had some good battle which Aquilifer seemed to won, but he slid into the wall which he payed for with a place, and precious seconds in the pit spent with reparing. Deetz also pitted in the meantime, so I was left alone at the front, as I decided to pit late in the race. The only thing worthy of mentioning in the rest of the race is that I slammed into Doorman who was trying to let me pass under blue flag. Completely my fault, sorry for that mate.

Seemed like dfpbroken managed to put in some good lap times as he passed me when i was just starting out of my pit box.

So why do you think they are putting decent multitasking in processors only now, eh? Because there were no women working in Intel before. :D

Oh no, you fell to that ventrilo trick  Once you join the old dMr members will flood your brains with such verbal abuse your poor brain cells simply can't cope and you ruin your car :lmfao:

I learned that hard way too... the 'official' reason why I don't join vent so often is that my headphones are not so good

Yeah the race was indeed good and I had chances higher too (oh the sweet self-deception)... until I managed to find that wall :sideways:

I said week ago I was regretting selecting UF1, but now I'm complete opposite mind. UF1s gave maybe one of the best and even racing of all time :yahoo:

About the "dfp broken" guy... I noticed in the beginning his LFS name was "Lehmannski"... oh jesus and all the saints  ... I realised he is one of those 'aliens' with few WRs under his belt (3 as I checked now). That gave little bit extra excitement in racing. I don't know if anybody else recognised him.

Not from the back, no. :)

Nice reports guys. I did ask that no mention of me being blue flagged was to be made. :flirty: However, it was my fault you rear-ended me. I got all of a dither and couldn't decide which side of the track to go on.

Deetz

Well I just have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the race, some excelent battles with a number of people, only a very silly.....arghhh, watch out for the wall.....crunch, moment knocked me out of contention, but the brilliant pit boys put my near terminially damaged car back together well enought to pip Verner for 4th with a couple of laps to go.

on to the next one :boxing:
