Rather than everyone replying to GhostMjrs' PM, I thought it made more sense to post here.

I will be bringing my PC with a CS server configured with all the stuff we currently have on Meathook/Boomer including the VIP mod and all the Sourcemod/Sourcebans admin stuff.  This will allow all of the current CS admins to administer the LAN CS servers.  I will be copying the server to the dMw server, so that we have two CS servers running and available for the competitions.  I was also thinking about adding the Gungame mod.

It's really easy to swap maps/configs for the deagle tourney so I see no reason to have another server unless it is going to run over an extended period or will require more than two servers.  I can setup a third server if needed.  Just let me know in plenty of time what maps you want loaded on the servers.  It would also be helpful if you could let me know what configs you want for the competitions in advance so that I can get them ready.

Ditto.

The current server is being upgraded (hardware wise) but this may or may nto be finished in time for the LAN, so if there is an alternative then great - and Whitey sounds like just the alternative.

What I would like to see if a confirmed list of the games you intedn to play and for which a server will be needed.  We can then figure out if Whitey's box can handle everything in case the dMw dies on the operating table.

My reasoning behind suggesting a boomer map cycle for one server is simply people may want to play vanilla maps as well as our specialist Meathook cycle. I do agree with Whitey on the deagle side this can be decided at the lan and arranged accordingly. I think from the current results of my TF2 poll we will only need one server and this can be hopefully setup on Whitey's setup.  would like to thank Whitey for organising the servers so that we are all ready to go come the lan :).

I'm not sure what's needed for the TF2 server or if I'll be able to run it.  I'll have a look into it though.

GhostMjr

Ok thanks Whitey. Shall we run a bf2 server or leave it up to individuals?

leave bf2 up to individuals.

OK, I have a TF2 server configured as well as CS:S and also GunGame (not sure it it will be used but it didn't take much to configure).

Could you let me know a couple of days before the LAN if the dMw LAN Server hardware updates have been done.  I don't fancy trying to run all of those servers on my PC, so if it's not ready, I'll bring along my wife/kids PC to act as a second server. I won't be top of the popularity chart in our house if I do though :flirty:

Thanks guys.

This kinda goes out of my comfort zone - technically speaking so I appreciate the work...

TF2... nice one  :norty:

LAN server is currently unlikely to have had it's hardware upgrade completed by the LAN - some parts are out of stock still

It will therefore make an appearance in its current format so that Whitey can copy the servers across. (that's if I can;t get the upgrade done beforehand).  That way Whitey's server will nto be carrying the full load of the LAN servers.

Just to confirm, I have left the LAN server as it is and completed no hardware upgrades.  I did not fancy pulling the stuff out before all the hardware was available.  So it will be there as a box, so feel free to copy whatever programs over to it that you want Whitey!  It can handle a couple fo the game servers perhaps instead of overloading your own box?

And in iother news:
The discs for the private WoW server have still nto arrived from Kregoron.  He posted them at the start of the postal strike but his postal service (renowned for being crap) combined with the UK one being on strike probabgly means the package is still attached to the back of a reindeer in Slough.  If it arrives before Friday I'll load it up, but it is not looking hopeful
