Only a true cynic would look at the timing of this SP, the abysmal sales of Fista and wonder what's in the SP out of nowhere - exactly...?:g:

i've seen articles on the net claiming a 10% performance increase with SP3 over SP2; this leads me to believe that none of the SP3 code was in vista :roflmao:

Waiting for the full release.  IIRC, one major SP beta for Windows in the past needed to be uninstalled before applying the final release.  Considering the scope of this SP, I'd rather do it once.
#!/usr/bin/admin
use warnings;
use strict;
use boot;

Thanks for the heads up on this one Ron. So will this be the last service pack for xp then or will sp4 still be made?

This should be the final SP to XP.

Though if everyone keeps upgrading to XP from Vista, who knows what the future holds? :roflmao:

IIRC, Leo Laporte and Paul Thurrott cover some info in this podcast episode:

Chance of what? Damned if I can see a difference! In fact, until I read this post I'd forgotten I'd done it.

P.S. Any smartarse remarks about my memory and I'll be round to sort you out! :)

Chance of installing will FUBAR the system. Was an issue for some when SP2 came out.

My system isn't FUBARed. I remember the hoohah when SP2 came out. Storm in a teacup.
