righty, goregrinder just gquit (again), the reason for it this time is that i asked to mt the bosses in kz, he asked why, and i responded that its my job as sog mt1

a second later, he just gquit, tried to have a chat with him, but it seems hese acting like a kid again.

fyi, this is the 2nd gquit for nothing, and he was also gquitting a coulple of days ago ( see deleted thread in general section)

i wont go after him anymore, good riddance to him, he did his choice

What the hell went off there ... some sort of MT envy ..you buggers need there heads bangin together.

Im here to enjoy playing a game not playing mind games ..The raid fell apart just to make a point ?  And we lost a hard workin member who would be a big loss

i just wanted to do my job as mt1 mate, i didnt mention anything else

as i said already, the 1st thing that bothers him a bit, he just gquits. its the 2nd time he did it and he was going to do it again a couple of days because he goofed up again, i also corrected him about the language he was speaking in guild chat 15mins before that

if thats the sort attitude he has, hese better off joining another guild. in my eyes, he acted the way marduk does (perhaps thats the reason bastet has been supporting him so much, he was also pushy about him getting promoted)

the post i mentioned:

hehe for a joke i demoted marduk to purple pony

then i was promtley threatened with him leaving the guild,if i had not promoted him back!

why cant he take a joke when the reso the guild can!

i feel that marduk needs to buy i sense of humour :narnar:

lighten up dude

I dont need it

BTW i quit cos duk is a pleb

sheepy

bugger.

this is just the sort of crap that we dont need at the moment

Sheepy appears and begins to stroke my head. According to his slurred drunken speech I am "lovely and like a fuzzy felt". Thankfully he soon leaves and passes out somewhere.
/agree sheep that's all i got to say

Well maybe i should speak some more, cause i don't reply much on difficult situations.. So here i go

Can't you work out something like 1 week Gore is MT and the next week Gorion is MT?

Maybe give Gore another chance b4 we let him go... He has done a lot for the guild while you were abcent gorion. He bassicly run the guild in that period, so i feel that it is a bit harsh to let him go over this.

But i agree on what gore says that he does seem to type /gquit quick if he get's ****ed. Maybe we can resolve that by confronting him with that?

If the approach of other guilds helps, in Genesis and in Sora we do not use an MT1,/MT2/MT3 etc as the role of an MT2/MT3 can often be quite boring.  So each time we meet a new boss we allocate an MT to the encounter.  Who gets it depends on how many other bosses that MT already 'has' and whose gear suits it (tanks tend to specialise in either EHP or Avoidance as their main gear with their secondary sets being Avoidance and EHP respectively).  Once given a boss you then 'MT1' that boss all the time but it is also your job to have prepared the other tanks (all of them) to take over that encounter should you not be there.   In my experience this seems to have worked pretty well with 4 prot tanks in both Genesis and 4 in Sora sharing MT1 duties across various bosses and playing the less interesting OT roles in other encounters.  I know the number of bosses here to share atm is not that great, but you have to start somewhere and I think the days of a static MT1 are probably over.

i already tried to talk to him about it, its like talking to a deaf wall

if his only way of discussion is a /gquit. then i have no more business with him and doesnt deserve an officer spot or even an SoG spot in the first place. plus the way hese been acting this last week shows a level of maturity in the areas of marduk. Definately not interested in that

@teaelle, good idea

I can understand both sides of this concern...

Unless anyone has *major* concerns with Goregrinder then I would like to sponsor him back into the guild, not as an officer, just a raid member.

Reasons :boxing:
He has a great passion for the game
He worked very hard for the guild
He feels this is where he fits in
He got me epic's

I have talked to him in game and he seems happy to be a member rather than an officer. I think he needs to chill out ,take a back seat and do his job, tank and be available

I really don't believe he "/quits" because he hates the guild. I think its due to the passion he puts into the game and some sort of frustrations with the way its run .... remove the need to consider how its run and you could have a good solid member back.

I kinda miss him :crying:

My only concern here is that he has gquit twice(?) before as a non-officer, so I am not sure that 'just being a member' would make any difference to either his behaviour or the strength of his reaction when something happens that he does not like.

What do others think?

I agree with Jas to give him another go and with some of the points of the reasons he gets aggitated and quits.

My only point would be that if he /gquits again there is no coming back.....ever.

The post would have to be written fairly diplomatic to not get his back up straight away with this point and include what we think he should try and do in the situation where he feels /gquit'ing is his only answer.

Hope that makes sense.

I totally agree on that.

And i do also think that he deserves another chance with us he is a good fellow in my oppinion. I enjoyed raiding with him.

So get that git back in :D

QuoteHi Goregrinder,

Regarding you leaving the guild, concerns raised by members and officers have been discussed and our general feeling is that with the effort and work you have put into the guild it would be a great loss for all parties

We would like you to consider re joining SoG as a member. The point is we don’t take people leaving the guild lightly even worse is when is causes a raid to be set-up then disbanded. You must also understand that if you leave again it would be very difficult/impossible to support you coming back. I’m sure that any issues you had at the time could have been sorted in the correct way on the forums. In the future this would be the way to go

We hope that you playing as a raid member of SoG will let you focus on the important parts of the game again. Playing with friends and having a giggle. Please support us with your experience and we will try and move the guild onwards and upwards

I was thinking of somthing along those lines. I would like to get this wraped up before the raid tonight one way or the other.

Good post Jas. Can we add in after (or slightly adjust) "I’m sure that any issues you had at the time could have been sorted in the correct way on the forums. In the future this would be the way to go" Don't quit, try to talk it through using the forums, PM's etc and if you feel like quitting leave it until the next day and see if you feel the same.
