Nice piccies & a nice idea, almost makes me want to upgrade my aged version of FS.  Think I'll I'll need to go find it first - wonder if they do an upgrade version......?

Wisdom doesn\'t necessarily come with age. Sometimes age just shows up all by itself.  (Tom Wilson)
Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships. (Michael Jordan)

Well, can you pick me in from the Exec Lounge at Orly (CDG would have been easier) in a DC-3? Should be OK to get to Malpensa.

How about a comfy thing like the Learjet from Paris to... Copenhagen? :)

I've got a Logitech force feedback joystick and FS2004, but I'm not near my game PC. Would have loved to follow you for a while.

BigFatCat

Oh, shame on the DC-3...

Anything like an old classic. Your choice from the same era of leather helmets, silk scarves and googles. None of this whizzy jet stuff.

Nice Trip to Paris mate good pics. Are you using Microsoft Flight sim? How involved is it and how steep is the learning curve?

This thread has me intrigued :) *adds another game to the list

Anything with 'sim' in the title will have a steep learning curve. All the more satisfying for it too. :)

thx that was a bugger of a flight limited auto pilot and a crappy cross wind

there is an ingame flying school and it helps you with the basics, you can pick up fs2004 for about 17 pounds.

no point getting fsx unless you have a quad core, 4 gig and a couple of gfx cards

Yeah, the pictures look stunning.

For £17 its worth getting it just to crash the things.

Nobody ask him to fly a plane carrying bombs, no body will be safe :D.

Go on, click it and check the piccie on the bottom right.

For the curious ones, the link above gives good detail about how much a simulation this is, in the reviews. Also references to add-ons.

also a lot of aircraft are free.... some are pay for.

good source for free ones are www.flightsim.com

all you need to do is register, and if you want faster speeds and no ads pay $15 a year

I have the Microsoft Space Simulator from 1994.

Has the 3.5" floppies and a voucher for the 5.25" floppies.
