Hurrah - get rid of those monday blues by shooting your friends - we'll probably be trying different maps out too - so grab those in the other threads ie Karkand 2.

Sorry I have kinda dropped out without saying 'goodbyes' and such the past two Mondays...

I am having major problems with my hard drive, BF2 and Ventrilo. I have Vista on and it has been progressively running slower and slower witha huge amount of constant hard drive activity.

Vent seems to break up and 'flutter' a lot, making it almost unusable.

I reckon a complete re-install of the system (with the new Vista service pack) is in order. I am also a little suspect about my main SATA hard drive and may buy a new one.

The lack of dependable voice makes this a pain for me, you never know if you're heard or if someone else says something. This I say because I don't know if the in-game comms are working, I hear some comms and yet don't get replies for sound checks, even when asking over text too. Then I get stuck lying down, with a zoomed weapon and I lose which keys are what. I should stop playing.

Too many times I feel there's no cohesion and people just do their own thing.

Though I like sneaking up on tanks with sticky C4 and running off laughing.

BFC why don't you use Vent - always lots of us in there?

BigFatCat

The link that was circulated in recent forum posts, I've not been able to contact it.

Wouldn't stop me being inept, though.

Can we not get the BA sounds running again, in game would be a lot easier....

in game coms are working fine. Oldie was using them lastnight and was clear as a bell

BigFatCat

People were often asking "Can you hear me?", which makes me think there is some doubt about their status.

As part of a teamwork thing, if someone asks for a comm check, shouldn't you reply over voice if you can hear them, or text if they ask in that manner and are inaudible?
