... Aston North.

I changed the track from AS6 to AS7 tonight. Much better combo with more challenges and less full-throttle cruising.

Agree, North is better. But I think you mixed up the tracks. North is AS7

This was a good decision. I was so bored last night waiting for something to happen. Now it's harder to decide on whether to watch snooker or to come racing.

How much room do you have on your server?

I am going to try and get over for your race this Sunday. I was wondering if others from my team would be welcome as well? Or if this was mostly your team day and you would like to keep it for yourselves. If that is the case just say so I won't be offended. Don't want to overstep my bounds and invite more than you want.
Do you want to be my "Friend"?:winkiss:

We're currently set for 24 racers so, yeah, come on in.

It was a good race. I was near to get a nice time in the last qualification lap, but I was a bit unlucky and did not make it.

In the race I had nice start with good fighting with CrazyR1 and SomeBody. I could not overtake CrazyR1, but I felt that I could go a bit faster, so I went to pits. Soon I was fighting with Spudgun, but could overtake him after a few laps. (This was quite a special combo, close racing all the time.)

After about 30 minutes I was getting tired and got a headache. It was difficult to take all the corners right, and I saw my lap times becoming slower.

I woke up again when I saw Vobler coming in front of me from the pits. I thought that  he should be a few seconds ahead. However he could do a few good laps, and me still slowly waking up, he could increase the gap into about 2-3 seconds, until I found a better rhythm. That was partially thanks to Seany appearing big into my rear mirror. The rest of the race was very entertaining. We did all drive quite a fast and consistent, no one making any fatal errors, nor no one making any extremely good laps either. For about 15-20 last minutes there was a chance of Seany overtaking me or me Vobler if we had made any big errors. Really nice.

I don't yet know what's the next combo, but I hope that it could give equally entertaining racing.

Congratulations to Deetz. You seemed to be in your own class this night. Kev and Aqu had similar lap times, but Aqu's LFS crashed. What happened to Kev?

Started in 3rd and managed to jump into 2nd into t1 thanks to aquilifer's slow start.
I Then tried several times to get past the extremely wide car of deetz,  but as i found out for most of the race,
he was managing to get more traction out of the corners so i couldn't make anything stick.

Dropped off from deetz after a loss of concentration and let aquilifer thru aswell :( but managed to hang onto the back of him (just!!)
regrouped and was lining up a pass when the dreaded disco hit  :( unlucky m8 !
Congrates to deetz good win m8 :)
and thanks 2 both 4 some great close  racin :)

Aquilifer

I liked the combo a lot. Nice bit longer track with fast, but not easy corners.

I had not so good start I guess as I lost 2 places. Took a bit time to find the rythm but then managed to get behind the 2 leading cars. I had very good racing with Delankster, and we changed places few times.

Some midway of the race I got a sneeze at the start straight, car made few moves left and right and I went bit wide in T1 (I suppose I have to start vacuum my room bit more often ). I was 2nd at the time. I lost my rythm quite badly and Del caught me. We were racing neck to neck for few laps when the disco hit me. Actually it was LFS crashing to desktop (according to Windows exception codes it seemed to be sort of protection fault). LFS has been very stable for me and of course it had to hit me when I was racing a long race in a combo I liked and when I was in a good position

I was using Y18. Maybe it has some bug in it which caused the crash...what versions have you been using? :g:

Congrats to Deetz and all who finished.

Seany

Was a very enjoyable race for me. After not being able to qualify it was a nice challenge having to battle my way through the pack.  Think I got to race nearly everyone except the top 3 :). After my pit I came out behind Romus and Vobler, as Romus said, it was quite exciting for those last 15-20 minutes, All of us pushing hard desperately trying not to make any mistakes.

Congrats to Deetz

Bad luck Aquil.  Im still on the last non test version. I have been getting the odd crash more recently though, mostly upon start up of LFS.  I think OldBloke and L56 are using the new test patch also.

delankster

haven't got round to installing the new patch yet
:g: might leave it for a bit, me thinks

Congrats Deetz :yahoo:

I ran a macro recorder on lap 2 then apart from pitting, autohotkey drove the race while I did my accounts.

vobler

Yes guys, one of the best 1 hour races we have had.

I just wish we did't have any disconnects. I prayed for Seany and for Bob not to get disoed at 2045. That worked. I will include Aquilifer in my prayers next week. :) I am also using Y18 and have had no problems at all. Solid as a rock.

The race was good for me. The last part with Romus and Seany on my back was realy nerve wrecking. Somtimes pulling away from them, sometimes they catching up with me. Good racing guys.

Doorman

Sounds like a lot of fun. Would you mind doing it again just for me? No, I didn't think so.
Anyway, I'm back and I have to tell you I didn't miss my pooter or you lot, one little bit.:)

I'm lying! :crying:
