3 Venues, 20 Pissed Deadmen - You Decide!

Hey peeps, I went to check out griffin hotel today and things look good, as everybody knows life (and lans) are about options so my friends here are the three for you to choose from.

1) Histon same as last time

2)Griffin hotel first floor conference room @£55.00 per day (£110 divided by number of peeps going). basically a big square room(see photos) i reckon 30 people with room to spare, plenty of power points, blinds on windows and a door to a roof terrace which will seat about 20 (on pub style bench seats) where you can smoke cos its strictly no smoking in the room !. Drinks and food are allowed in room no problem. Security wise, only two lockable doors 1 on ground floor and 1 leading from conference room to roof garden (spiderman is still in the states so no probs from that 1!) also every entrance/exit from the whole hotel including the car park is covered by cctv (i know cos she showed me the monitors) If we were to have this room for two days then the key would stay with us so drunken sniping and seemingly brave charges to certain death can continue at least till about 2-3am mmm...nice

3)Also at the Griffin hotel is a former night club which they now call a function room AY-CARUMBA!!! this is a mother of a room its got the lot including a bar (and a barman will be supplied for us if we wish for no extra cost), huge big dark playing area, bar (did i mention that already ?)and a big ol chillout area round the corner (see photos). Smoking IS allowed as well as food and drink. now the cost (gulp) £200.00 per day (eek) (£400 divided by number of peeps going) Not that bad if you think 20 people @ £10 each per day = £20 per person and it is a real big room, However the key for this has to be back with the hotel by 1am latest and wont be available until 7 ish next morning (damn !!)

I have spoken with the manager and a discount of 10% is available on all rooms booked by us (tell me when you want to book so i can let them know or perhaps ill sort out a deadlan walking code word or list or something).  so a single will be £40.50p and a double will be £53.10p At this present moment in time all dates mentioned (12/13 + 19/20 + 26/27) are free for both rooms and conf/funct centre, be warned tho they will go, so if you want to go then please book soon to avoid disapointment (always wanted to say that just like the bloke off of the telly   )

Gents we need to move on this as soon as! so decisions need to be made for date and venue and the word spread to get the magic 30 or so people to make this rOxOr like the last one, we did it for the server, now lets do it for the LAN !! What i suggest is only reply to this thread with relevant stuff no congrats or spammy crap.

Conference room upstairs is OK for me as we dont need a bar man we can get beer from offy daaahn rooad and save money to be spent else where. And with this one we can play till whenever which is also good.

Any weekend for me, i dont mind..

I say the conference room. While the bar sounds nice I feel the need for all night fragging! And didn't you say we can drink in the conference room? See if they can install a fridge!!!

they have loads of big trestle tables,  the tables in there were a bit crap so i did ask and the others were downstairs but not a prob
