I had to drop for about an hour 8.30-9.30
there was a full server when I left and 4v4 when I rejoined.
I am quite getting into this game; it's been a slow burner for me; as I progress slowly through ranks, I get a little bit more out of the game.
so I am a bit disappointed to finish at 10 on a monday night (and that was a late 1 by recent experience)
I hope we can expand our cod4 time north of 9.30 in future.:)

btw is there a public server that we can all play on?

Sorry I missed it. Stuck in France with puncture. No spare tyre (Silly Touran's.... gluey weldy tube thing didn't work). Missed Ferry. Stressed wife. Knackered kids.

Oh the joys

Yes it did.

I also spent £400 per month on Petrol, £1,500 for a new turbo and Several hundred quid for new air suspension.

I must admit I prefer the early evening games when numbers are low and I can hear everyone's VC.

I'll be on soon-ish.

 Bring on the randomness!
Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?

I have been enjoying the games over the last week.  The only thing is if you are going to play tactical ie defend bomb or plant bomb everyone needs to do the job not wander off and look for kills (guilty person here i just get the blood rush :blush2:) So i think a mod to force the game play or really BIG messages to remind me.... Or perhaps have the odd team death match round to get it out of our systems.  Can do no harm to improve on the twitch shot skill.  Great fun tho.  Just a pity the voice comms are not all that clear.  We can always use our vent if you guys want clearer better sound.  Playing the tactical game really makes COD shine the small sides of 8 v 8 are actually just right.

Magnus

p.s. I still need more practice or better hacks to compete at the lan with you guys.

I quite like the idea of an occasional TDM, but thats not really the dMw way.

For voice comms, I know alot of servers out there don't use the in-game capability - they prefer using TS or Vent.  I've never been a big user of either so I'm not sure how it works if you keep switching sides (i.e. at the start of each map)

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

In-game voice comms are OK. Some people are still too quiet because:

  • They haven't adjusted them properly using the slider.
  • They haven't enabled mic boost.
  • They use USB headsets that have no mic boost facility.

I've said this before but it needs to be said again ...

When you join a server ask if your team can hear you properly. Not 'barely' or 'just about' or 'mostly' - PROPERLY.

If you're struggling to hear someone properly - TELL THEM.

Let me remind everyone that one of the essential elements to good teamwork (and for promotion to Charlie Company, remember) is making good use of voice comms. It is unacceptable for existing members, particularly Charlie Company members, to be barely audible in any of the games we support. If this means you've got to put your hand in your pocket and buy an appropriate headset then you'd better do it and do it soon because I will be asking the admin team to clamp down on members who demonstrate an inability to be heard properly in-game.

I wouldn't mind a few TDM maps on the cycle. They get more teamwork going then some of the other modes I've found on publics, actually used voice comms with randoms to good effect :)
