If you look at all their other games:

Counter Strike: Source
Team Fortress 2
Half-Life 2 Deathmatch

etc. They all come out with fewer maps and then you get some new ones.

Port, Compound were last last CS ones I remember.
Goldrush game mode etc were added to TF2 after release
Deathmatch I didn't really play much but they updated that too.

All of these were free. I would be very surprised if they start charging for updates for PC users. 360 users will get milked dry.

There are already a handful of maps and a new campaign in production out in the communities.

The way that the game works it isn't really practical to have single maps, so campaigns are the way to go.

There's a video of the "Dead Before Dawn" campaign that's being produced, it's based on the "Dawn of the dead" shopping mall.

As soon as they release the official developer pack I expect that it will grow exponentially.

I was having some tech issues with this game but seem to have sorted them.

I was crashing a lot and getting a sound loop.  And having to Ctrl Alt Del to kill it.

But it seems that reverting to the 178 geforce drivers and using this command in the console

mat_queue_mode 0

To stop using the multi core I acctualy got to play and enjoy it.
