I have been on the COD 4 server a few times in the last week and boy do i need the practice.  

Another game that may be fun for the lan will be left 4 dead

We have published the official list of games but, as always, people will be playing whatever grabs their fancy.

I should be able to play Left 4 dead at the pcgamer showdown lan event later this month. I will ask the tech team whether a beta will be out in time and fingers crossed i may even get a free t-shirt

Also I see command and conquer 3 will be out on the 28th so will try and pick up that.  I know dewey and paddy are CC fiends so hopefully they will go for that but i have no idea what sort of multiplayer it will be.  I am sure if we have a copy with us it will be available over the lan for other s to try.
