Luverley combo, which I'm afraid I'm going to miss. On Grandad duties :D all week and not allowed near a computer after six pm.

Yeah, course 'e can. You can wangle an hour off. They should be in bed by that time anyway. :sideways: Or... Let them watch Gramps provided they're washed and in their PJs and are VERY quiet. :)

They can then regale their parents with all the new words they've learned.

well another mixed bag for me this week:sideways:
qualified 2nd, but on the right side of the grid:norty:
been struggling all week with the tyres, so wasn't really sure if i could make them last half distance let alone the whole race.
decided on 50% fuel on the start and to pit half distance for the rest and tyres if needed.

race started well with me sneaking past deetz into t1:)and slowley started to eek out a lead on him.
every thing was going well, tyres were lasting, deetz and seany looked like they were holding each other up fighting for 2nd
which helped me pull out some distance on them.
just stated to think about me pit stop when bang, the disco hit:frusty:

great racing all and congrats to seany, deetz and harry :thumbsup2:

Scratchy

Had a good race & managed to get up to 5th at one stage then back down to 8th after the stops.  Then disaster struck with a puncture 4 laps from the end so I ended up coming last
Last week I lost points because I pitted to change my worn tyres, this week I lost points because I didn't.  Suppose thats racing for you.

Great race :)

Qualified 3rd, but Mr.Sabords got the jump on me at the start dropping me to fourth, got passed after a lap or so and went on to have a great battle with Deetz.  Very unfortunate disco for Kev :/ , I was looking forward to a good three way after the pistops.  :norty:

Well done Deetz and Harry

Congrats Sean :yahoo:

Bad luck Kev.

Not much to comment :sideways:

I got a huge blister earlier in the day which bursted. Managed to do the qualifying by poking the mouse around with fingertips. In the race managed to do a lap or two, but then lost it. Too bad because the car and the track wasn't hard to control.

Sorry to hear. I have a patent solution to this. If you are going to pit at a moment when p% of race is done, then set the change tyre rule to p-5% or p-10%. Assuming that the tyre wear is roughly constant, it works. E.g if you pit at 36min mark, when 60% of time is gone (0.6*60=36), I would set the change rule to 55 or probably 50%. By setting it bit lower than the time driven, you give bit of safety margin. I have never got a bursted tyre after that iirc. (Note that you can change this rule while driving in the F12 mode)

I had done less than ten laps before the race, which was seen in my performance. I did my best but you all disappeared and I just hoped to learn quickly and get at least some fighting in the end of the race. Doing iRacing with a totally differenct type of car and track and then coming to LFS is not easy. I feel that it requires quite a lot of adaptation when moving between these two sims, more that moving to another car within one of them.

I,ve enjoyed this combo all week and couldn't wait for race night.Had a ok quali in 6th and settled down for a good hours racing:DHad a good fight with Lee & Harry until Lee's monitor started playing up:sad:Then it was me and Harry putting some good laps in.
I knew i need to do a good pit as Harry was slowley picking up time on me.Well all that went to pot as i got a drive through for speeding(hated this pit lane all week:taz:)After serving my penalty i rejoined in 9th so was happy to snatch 5th.
Well done Seany,Detez & Harry, but bad luck to Kev(looking foward to seeing the team pic though mate:norty:)
