Last night I noticed VV on boomer whilst I was playing on Cod4 server and tonight he joined us on Boomer.

I knew that he was banned at sometime and assumed that because he was on Boomer, his ban had expired.

Tonight, after several maps playing with him he was kicked and banned by console.

As it so happened, he had just TK'd me and I had just forgiven him, so he messaged me thru steam asking why he couldn't rejoin and was banned (see below)

I was a bit confused but suspected that he'd been banned by someone on console thru HLSW. I told him I would find out what had happened and let him know. we left it at that. I checked Sourcebans and nothing is showing for vv.

I can only guess why he was banned but there were several admins playing at the same time that he was on, but no-one said anything about vv being banned or unwelcome.

Can whoever banned him please let him know what is going on?

And, in future, if someone is banned via console, could you please message the server or steam message an admin, as it is confusing and embarrassing if you don't know what is happening on your watch?

Tbh I thought all the vG guys were banned from our servers and forums.

I do agree with this. More often than not if someone is banned the question is asked in-game as to why.

As for VV, we all know the history and, like Sadako, I presumed the 'Fatuous Four' had been banned from both the forums and the servers.

The fact that he was on the servers at all was a mistake and one which was rectified last night by a senior admin.

I don't think they were banned initially (I dont think we even remotely thought they would have the balls to come back).

However, I do remember a couple being banned from the forum for various posts and I think VV was the first to be banned from the servers.

Hindsight says we should have banned them all instantly but I think we were trying hard not to stoop to their level.

I banned vv from console and I make no apologies.

Some of you admins will not know the full circumstances but vv is one of four former members who were caught plotting to defraud this community. He and the other three will never be welcome here.
