Last night Todd said there was a new soundpack available on the LFS forum. I've looked in the usual places but can't find them.

Can anyone remember who they were by?

That persons name is DaveWS, but I can't find anything by him lately about new soundpacks.

It wan't him. I'll PM Todd see if he knows although it does look like it's been pulled for some reason.

By George I think hes got it:yahoo:

I have found, for me at least I need to turn the muffler volume down some with most of these.
If not my puny sound card won't let me hear the tires skiding.
Do you want to be my "Friend"?:winkiss:

I've not had a chance yet but as they don't replace the default sounds they can very easily be tested via shift-A.

Scratchy

I have downloaded the lot and the ones I've tried I think are a great improvement on the default LFS engine sounds.
As Oldie says you unzip them into your "Engine" folder and can load them using the tab in Shift A - there are multiple sounds for some cars so you can pick the ones you like best.
Well worth the effort I would say - now at least I sound fast. :D

must say that i'm quite impressed:thumbsup2:
the gear changes seem much more realistic and the turbo whistle is a very nice touch
