Wild fps

I've started getting slow downs in COD when ever I do anything sudden, or anything sudden happens to me (i.e some one jumps out).

I though this was a ping issues, but having turned on fps, I see 90 for most the time with sudden dips down as low as 10 fps.

Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this?

if it doesnt happen in other games I would suggest it is a C0D4 config issue.

Except for a brief fling with spore, I havn't really played any other games lately :blink:.
 
But what I did play of spore seemed to work fine, guess im just having a good old fuss over nothing :blush:

Check what processes you have running. See if anything's hogging the CPU.

I used the tweaks BB provided as now have an average fps of 120, and for a while the drops seemed to have gone away.
 
But last night they came back, whenever I spotted someone, or someone spotted me id freeze up.
 
Tho I forgot the check the processes, il check them next time im on and it happens.
