This looks like a good place to d/l nkp along with extra tracks.
Just like LFS you get the lot but only the demo is available until you pay.
Don't forget, you need .NET framework 2.

What are the demo's limitations?

One car, F1600. One track, Crema which is a test track and not used online afaiaa.
I believe the new patch will allow online demo.

I downloaded the demo today. (lazy saturday morning, eyh? ) The physics were amazing! I really liked the feel of it. However it will take some time to get used to the sounds. At the moment I'm having trouble finding out when I've locked my brakes. But I'm having a blast just crusing around the track!

Regarding sounds, Are you using the Scazzato sound enginge? If so try the crossfade . You may also find better crossfade sounds on the net somewhere.

I think they say that the scazzato wil be discontinued in the new patch.

Sorry, I have no idea.. I just fired up the stock Demo version, and I didn't tinker with any audio settings.
