Death Cam

Someone posted in game the other night 'When are we going to turn off death cam?".

I too would like to see it turned off. Anyone else have a view?

If It's realism we're after then it should be turned off. Nothing worse that being hunkered down in a nice spot only to the knifed by the person you shot a few moments earlier who saw where you were perched.

I was all for it when I started playing, and after shouting "NO WAY!" was usually surprised at how noisy/stuck out like a sore thumb that I was when I got killed.
It was a useful learning tool* but I think we're ready to lose it.







*I'm still crap, but at least I now know why I'm crap:)

I find it fun to watch how people kill me, specially when I have no idea where they are. Plus I can see Snokio and Blunts git spots :lmfao:

Tbh in the past we only ever turned it off for matches.  Personally I would be sad to see it go off, despite it not being 'realistic' - but then again which of you have previously died in real life and can confirm that when you are dead you cannot float around and see what is happening around your corpse?  I see the death cam as an important part of the social aspect of our game.  It gets people involved with other people and it helps people learn.  Otherwise the game becomes BF2 and players left that game in droves.

My comment to Oldie about getting rid of the kill cam was after my main comment about losing the "kill" sign which follows the bomber.
as bomber it makes sneaking/hiding impossible.
I would be more keen on losing this than the KCam tbh

Get rid of the kill cam, don't like free cam. Might even figure out how to fix my broadband to make my comments even more relevant at some point...anyone want to do some cabling for me.

I like the kill cam. Not for finding out where your killer was but for showing what a plonker you were! BB, hurry up the 'get rid if the 'Kill' label fix.

Might have found something.

ui_hud_showobjicons defaults to 1 but if you set it to 0 the objective icons should disappear.

That will get rid of the annoying Sabotage icon but also all the other icons (HQ mode etc) so it could be a bit of a giggle running around even more like headless chickens

Kill the death cam...I'm running out of git spots :flirty:

I quite like the idea of having free cam on search and destroy maps only, mainly because you can be waiting for some time before you get to respawn. (especially on bloc)
