Wet work?

Can we try the Wet Work map? I think it may be a good one to promote teamwork.

It is a great map IF people don't just nade spam. The problem is you can throw nades right into the spawn area and it becomes a bit depressing after the 5th spawn and die

Worse case we could  play it on our private server and tell people not to nade the hell out of the spawn.... then they wont. Or they will and we'll abuse them. I think it'd be fine on the public one as well as it's normally only us.

Well, I think you will still have it. It became a rule afaik already the first week and still we would se people throwing nades at random all over the map. I don't think we can do that much on the smaller regular maps. However, if you play on larger custom maps then it wouldn't be as big of a problem.

How about a private unranked and a public ranked to pull the punters?

If by unranked you mean 'level playing field with achievements turned off' then I would happily come play on that now and again.

IIRC, you can rank on an unranked server but the rankings don't apply on public server. The big gotcha that will annoy lots of people is when they forget to save their ranked or unranked profile before joining a server and their profile gets wiped back to zero again :devil:

If we do have to have a level playing field, I'd rather see one with all perks and weapons turned on.

Using different combinations of these makes the gameplay a vastly different experience. The "sneaky sneaky" tactics right through to the full on "CHAAAARGE!!!"

If I remember correctly the RCON Tool for COD4 can be used to manipulate it in any way you like. You could even force to have only one set of weapons and perks if you'd want that. So yes you could level the playing field any way you like.

So could you not just have a batch file for private and one for public. Just add your steam shortcut in as the next line and it's all in one.
