Section Heads to post the criteria they will use to judge whether a member is suitable to be awarded a badge in their section. Remember to include all possible badges for your section.

I have a diddy problem. LFS doesn't cater for levels of admin, you either are or are not an admin. Consequently there are many admins on dMr that are really only there for watching an oaf and kicking him on our instructions. Apart from Olds and myself I have a couple of guys, Lameduck and o000o that I would leave 'in charge'....................Been for a walk, came back.

First and foremost, you MUST be on Ventrilo. That would make some admins mit red badge. There are a couple that spring to mind that don't 'Vent', they only get a green badge but they'll still be admins. Best I can do. :g:

Someone'll kick my ass I bet! "Hey! Why has he got a red badge and I only have a green one?"

Folding?

I'm not exactly sure what the plan is for folding badges and Delanvital isn't going to see this section. The red folding badge shows as being for 500,000+ folders but Delanvital has asked me to award the red badge to Duval.

Quote from: DelanvitalI have noticed that the icons are being tested. I KNOW, tested, but is it still possible to add the folding moderator icon to Duvel?

Do the folders have moderators or power folders? I'm a bit confused?

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Duvel is Del's 2nd in command in the folding section so probably just wants to recognise his position.

I added a red folding badge for Duvel and assumed the there was going to be a rethink about what the red badge signifies. Currently the badge description says red is for 500,000+ folders and green is for active folders. So strictly speaking at the moment there isn't a Folding admin/2nd in command badge.

Duvel has messaged me back asking for the red badge to be made a gold badge? I'm working on the assumption that gold badges are exclusive and we have one per section for the Section Head only. Teams of assistants or helpers or whatever get red badges and contributors, active participants etc get green badges. So we have some consistency across the whole community. So I've not upped Duvel to gold and am not planning on doing so. If I did I'm sure some of the server admins could demand a gold server badge from BlueBall or full CS:S server admins could be asking Whitey for a gold badge like his. Not something I imagine we want to start doing? One badge to rule them all etc. Write or wrong?

The folding gold badge is not a 'Section Head' per se.

I seem to remember that both Del and Duvel agreed to promote the folding section jointly. So it may be right for Duvel to also have a gold badge. My perception was that Del was doing the bulk of the work but he might be happy to allow Duvel to also wear gold.

Could you ask him please Smilo and take it from there?

He's already PM'ed me and explained what he wants - Gold for Duvel. So no problem it's done.
