all together now.....

It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere,
I'm all alone, more or less,
Let me fly, far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun in the sun, sun, sun.

I want to lie shipwrecked and comotose,
Drinking fresh mango juice,
Goldfish shoals nibbling at my toes,
Fun, fun, fun in the sun, sun, sun
Fun, fun, fun in the sun, sun, sun.

listen to the music on this page, absolute genius

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

*Hopefully* it'll be ace, but i have my reservations. They're lacking Rob Grant, and series 7 & 8, which were also both Doug Naylor on his own, just weren't a patch on any of the previous ones. I've also got the Red Dwarf books and IMO the pure Grant and Grant/Naylor ones are far superior to the pure Naylor ones.

Mal: Define interesting...

Have to agree with you here, the last two series were well bellow par. The characters personalities completely changed and the stories lacked their freshness. The reintroduction of the rest of the crew and the redesign of the "Red Dwarf" itself, spoiled it for me.

I can think back to plenty of excellent episodes from the Grant days, but to be honest I can't remember any special bits from the last 2 series.

Lets hope he's had time to work on some way of rekindling the fire of the Grant days.

Lets hope it never gets as bad as the "Hyperdrive" tat. I watched one episode of this and thought it didn't deserve to have a second.

Oh, and the complete series are available in a boxset from Amazon and Play for £34, remember the affiliate links.

to be honest i can't really disagree too much with what you are saying,
but IMO i still think a few episodes towards the end of the last series
started to feel more like the red dwarf of old.
all we can do his hope for the best and see what happens :)
