Badge concept

Are we going a bit of the original concept, was it not a way to define a Charlie in this new multi game community.
 
First we are giving Active CS/LFS/COD badges. Will this mean we have to monitor peoples play and if players are not active we will remove there TAG. for example. Jamoe has COD4, he has been a member of the community for years and last time he played (July) on our serve used our tag. Now do I pm him and tell him not to use the tag next time he is on. It's not likely to encourage him back.

Now the forum. This is an important badge as it completes the set to make what was an old Charlie. Looking at the nominations so far we are going to get 4 Charlie's. and the word quality is subjective anyway. who's to say what's a good post. (if we shut the look what crap I found on the internet and the Laugh section tomorrow I doubt I would notice)
 
Supporting new games.  I thought this idea was to get new blood on our server. They need to be able to be ran public or they do not serve a purpose.

No, it never was. I tried to get a consensus on how we could keep a structured community using the ABC structure but there's no easy solution so it's back-burnered. For now - forget about Charlies. They don't exist any more.

Once a gaming badge is earned then, unless there's special circumstances, it stays with the person for ever.

We will have much more than four though I agree this is going to be the toughest call yet. We all need to make sure we contribute to this decision to help Smilo/Pen make the call. Like Pen I read every post made here. I think I can make the call on who's a quality poster - something that we must all attempt to do. Also, we must learn to appreciate that a lot of our members do not have English as their first language. Some, like Duvel, have perceived failings because of this.

New server goes into the rack on Fri 9th Jan. I will be talking to BB to make sure we use the new horspower to support the public server plans.
