Just started/resumed folding? Do a post here

In order to easier track who folds and who does not, please do a post in this thread if you have started or resumed folding

Remember: if your folding name differs from the dMw-name, please post that as well.

Also - if you fold, and for some reason have not been awarded the appropriate badge, then contact either Pen, Duvel or I.

Hello there!

I've heard and seen a lot of talking about this F@H and now I've decided to give it a try. Just downloaded it and got it started after banging my head on the table for a while:lmfao: So here we have a new folder again. Don't expect too much of my computer though:roflmao:

I am about to re-format, and Santa brought a pc for the mrs, so as my NYR I am going to reinstal the FaH on both*

*I will remove at the slightest suggestion of slowing down though as I am plagued by syrupy connections lately (not to mention a molasses like hdd)

Stupid guestion but could someone tell me what's the difference between GPU and CPU??:blush:

GPU is folding using your graphics card and CPU is folding using your PC Processor. GPU folding is wayyyyyyy quicker than CPU folding if your card can do it.

Just installed the GPU client yesterday and it's already worked it's way through 4 or 5 units. sooooooooo much quicker than the CPU client.

Up to 40 times quicker according to the stats from Stanford. That said, it does still get a wee bonus.

Yeah GPU is awesome by comparison. I've done the same amount of points in three weeks or so with one GPU client that I did in 9 months with 4 or 5 PC's on the CPU client.
