Started again after a few months lay off. Can both the GPU and CPU be run together?

Yes they can. However, the GPU requires a slightly higher priority. You have to change priority from low to slightly higher. In the tray version that is an option at the top in the options screen. Also - be sure to set different machine IDs.

If you find that the system is clogged when both clients are running then consider updating your nvidia drivers as the 178s, when using the GPU client, who does not some CPU as well, had very high CPU load (my 8800GT required just about 25% of my Quad core). With the 180 drivers the load is down to a couple of percent but the GPU client performs slightly worse. Not sure if the performance drop makes it better to just stick with pure GPU folding though :g:

I've completed my first WU now but it went into the page with a name that most of you guys won't regognise. If I change my user from the configue will it change on the F@H website as well or will it automatically create a new user to the page??

Yes it will create a new user, but the credit for the one WU will stick with the old name.

Just make sure you are in team 33597
