CCOD4 seems to be being met with a mixed reaction. It seems to be more poplar with non-cod'ers, Which if it brings people back can only be a good thing. So I think we do have to give it a couple of goes before we can pass judgment. If it works finding regular day for it may be more of a problem. Suggestions?

Do we have the port details and password for the server yet and hevr you thought of a map rotation.

One last thing. What time do you want me on:boxing:

I'll defiantly be taking a look at creepy cod or any new idea that brings more team play. I also should clarify my post in the public section. I'm sure most CoD4 players love their game and don't much care to be told I don't think it's all the good in it's current form. That's not what I was trying to say although re reading my post it might come across like that.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

As someone who has stopped playing CoD4 I'll add my comments here rather than in open forum ...

I only enjoy playing CoD4 with low numbers (4/5 per side) and mostly on S&D. Yes, it's CounterStrike but it's teamwork as I love it. What our CoD4 server currently offers is basically available anywhere. Large numbers of players continually respawning is a tactical nightmare and I simply do not enjoy it. We need to be different and I applaud the trial of CCOD.

If CCOD doesn't work out then maybe consider running multiple servers with limited numbers of players and game types. The reason I'm loving L4D so much is because of the overriding teamwork element. This is made possible by the limit to four players.

QuoteInitially, the server will be password protected (same PW as the Private server) and all of these rules will require your co-operation but if the idea is successful then we would look to using PAM mod to help enforce the rules.

The server will appear on 77.108.129.47:28962 on Sunday - you may see it before that but we will be testing - and it will be running TDM (Team Deathmatch) as that mode seems to fit best - as we gain experience we will add in other modes if needed.

I'll bring it up today and we can try it out - do you want a private password for today so we can ensure everything works?

yeah, that will be best.
