Forum Order

I think the forum could be better structured (in terms of the order of the main sub forums) so that visitors to the forum have a better introduction to our community.

My proposal (feel free to argue) would be:

Dead Men Walking - The Community
dMw Gaming
dMw's Community Centre
dMw Events
Private Chat Forums
dMw Admins

This would say "Here's what we are, here's what we play, here's where we talk about it etc." It put the more inclusive areas at the top.

I was actually thinking of this yesterday morning, but I was thinking also that 2 topics should move from the COmmunity Centre to the Dead Men Walking - The Community section: News & Our Server. News is structural or Community stuff anyway so i think belongs in the Communiy section, Our Server is defintely part of teh what we are. Other than that the order as you listed is fine with me OB.

One point though dMw - The Community and dMw - Community Centre too many communities IMHO. Could we maybe think for an alternative name for one of them.

Although as I type my mind is a complete blank :blink:

I like the dMw - Community Centre name, so I think we should rename the top structural section. How about dMw Bricks'n'Mortar?

Stop press! I've just noticed that Dead Men Raiding should come before Left4Dead and after Dead Men Racing. I 'spect you were going to do that but it slipped you mind.

The position for DMR was chosen to minimise any confusion with dMr who owned the set of initials first! If it helps, we can switch the topic title around so it reads 'World of Warcraft - Dead Men Raiding' which might better suit the alpabetical nature of the section and it's current position. The 'It's a game ...but it ain't got its own topic!' was always intended as a catch-all for the end of the section.

With the above in mind, it might also be good to rename the COD4 to Call of Duty 4.
