I got the following PM from Ghoule, I'm removing his badge as requested.
You can't please everyone!

QuoteWhitey,

not to sound ungratefull or anything but could you please remove my trialist badge (and any other that i am eligable for)...

Im not in the habbit of collecting things and would rather just play the games. Since the forum/community changes happened it has occured to me that there is no longer any worth in wearing the wings, although the ethos of the community still stands for which i will always abide by, i do not beleive in the public displays of loyalty.

As stated i will still continue to play on the servers that you provide and promote the comunity and its spirit. i meerly do not want to publicly display that support.

Regards

So he is happy to wear his wings as a public display of his support for the community, but not happy to wear a badge as a public display of his support for the community. Ok, I think I get it. :g:

Each to their own I guess.

Maybe we need an anti-badge badge? We know Doggers would want one

No, he doesn't want to wear the wings or indeed any sign of support but he does support the ethos! :g::eyebrow::sideways::flirty::doh:

People are decidedly strange.

I've just had a magazine on the phone wanted to sell a cheap advert. They said they wanted £100 for it. I said I could only do it for £99 as that's a pre-defined limit on the account. They refused

I had to lol.

You lot must be a bit thick. It makes perfect sense to me. The display of public loyalty is not something to be encouraged when all we need to do is publicly display our loyalty. Loyalty is something that can be publicly displayed with a clear conscience where as it is crass and wrong to flagrantly display public loyalty. I too feel we have made a serious mistake with these public displays of loyalty and will be removing my badges so that I can honourable display my loyalty in a public manner without publicly displaying loyalty.

You know it makes sense.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

If I wasn't nicely relaxed after drinking my 'after work beer' my head would have exploded after reading that!
