We have quite a list of moderators at the moment. We've gathered them over a number of years and while a few are still actively moderating their forums most are not. In fact some don't actually visit our forums at all any more. It's also been agreed that moderators, who are obviously part of our community, need to be ..... part of our community. By that I mean they need to support the community. See where I'm going with this (£££)?

So with that in mind I'm looking for people who are at least holders of one green badge plus are supporting members as well, to take on or retain their moderator status in the forums. Section Heads have the power to moderate their own game forum so this only really applies to the areas in the dMw - The Community section. The forums that probably need most moderation are  the Technology Section and it's sub forums. Deadmen Folding, The Exchange, Seriously Though..., Movies & Music and Laugh I nearly Started. Some of these are already being well moderated and as long as the moderators have their supporting members badge then I'm grateful for their efforts, keep it up :) .

If you are a regular user of any the forums and actually fancy keeping a daily eye on what's being posted in there then please let me know. I'd not really want more than three moderators for each forum and only one would work if needs be. The forums only need very light moderation to check for links to warez, illegal downloads and anything that might not be child friendly (remember we have a 13 yrs and over membership requirement). Flame wars etc seem not to come our way so I doubt there will ever be the need to deal with that. Basically one person cannot read every post made each day (except Penfold who is just sad) so some help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Well I need to know which forums you are interested in. The idea is that moderators make a point of reading through the posts in a certain forum. So it would be good if it was a forum you actually had an interest in. Moderators need to be active in their forums.:)

i would be quite happy to keep an eye on things, which ever forum is needed to be, i log on a stupid amount every day ( i can also access from work), if i was given a forum to look after i would immediatley dedicate time to that particular forum before anthing else.  i just wanna help in anyway i can :D

smilodon

Thanks for the offers. We already have good moderation of some forums so I'll look to get people to pick up the ones which still need help. I'll sort it out over the next day or two. I'll also try to come up with a guide for us to follow. We really don't have much of a problem to deal with, so it's just keeping an eye out for the odd bad post.

Bare in mind that the game forums and sub forums are looked after by the Section Heads, so anyone who wants to help look after any of those probably needs to speak with them.

Hmmm I seem to have posted this in the wrong forum. I was meant for the one about the rude Onion video in Laugh I nearly Started http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=26359&page=3

It was late sorry :)
