this was posted in the internet bargins section by kreg today, the tread was the 50% of deal on l4d last weekend.  i have closed that thread but i have moved kregs post to this   section as i feltl it justifies some comments

The weekend offer increased the L4D sales by 3000% beating the launch sale numbers further more, the amount of new registered steam accounts increased by 1600% throughout the weekend
