although considering fs9 is 6 yrs old and still getting new stuff developed as well as fsx i think we will be ok for a few years yet, just nothing base sim wise is gonna get developed

Maybe they'll lend their experience to the FlightGear project.

Although there should be plenty of work for them in the industrial Simulator world.

It could open up for some more competition maybe, now the terms will be evened a bit.

FlightGear has been getting better, though. Perhaps time to check that out again.
