Thread Title update not working correctly(?)

I changed the title of a thread in the CoD4 section to reflect a change in date to the 31st March

But it seems that only I can see this?

One thing i did spot though is when I was posting in the thread, it came up as 3rd April in the section above:

(sorry for small pic)

Is it user failure (me in other words)?

Probably correct. However surely one should be able to edit ones own posts/threads and be able to change the thread title too? I tried that a while back with my PC threads and it didn't work.

I tried looking under 'thread tools' but there is no option there for title :g:

You just select "edit thread" IIRC

kregoron

you need to be a moderator for the section where its posted, else the edit thread option doesnt show up

I am a mod in that particular section, I'll have a word with Armitage, didn't know if this was a bug or just user error

It worked for me.

Try double clicking in the parent directory and see if you can amend it that way. (click on the blue area to right of thread title).

As here:

looks like I'm unable to do that , would some kind soul be able to change it for me? There might be cake for the person who does :)

Done.

We'll have a look at the permissions for this (at the LAN). I've checked and as far as I can see Moderators have the necessaries to edit thread titles. There must be an issue with a parent permission or something.

GhostMjr

Can this be moved to the mod/ admin section as it is about mod editing.

thanks,
