I'm only hearing good things about this, If there is a demo available, I will defo try it out!

I see your point and do agree.

However, i feel theres nothing really coming out this side (except LFD2) or next side of Christmas so thats why i am grabbing it to keep me entertained aswell as taking advantage of the cheap price.

The singleplayer should be worth at least Ã,£15 so we'll see about the multiplayer and i'll report back.

The single player from the other recent games hasn't been worth Ã,£15. I don't know why you think this will be different.

As for entertainment there are plenty of better games to tide you over with. Since the game is steamworks (as I told you before) the cheaper price isn't a big deal as you have to use steam to play it, and Ã,£35 is the price that all the retailers are charging.

Dedicated servers are one of the things I said should be part of the "Template" for deciding if we consider a game, and till it gets them I don't think this will be a dmw game. Hopefully even without dedicated servers you'll have a bit more flexibility than L4D in choosing servers but I think you could wind up with it being a pain to find a good server each time you play.

Sadly they won't. They want to make that IW.net thing and there is no way they would drop it and change to dedicated servers as PC is the start of all evil, even if we haven't even seen a single screen shot from the game on PC and xbox version has already leaked out over a week ago and MS has banned many many people. But yeah PC is evil....

The single player in CoD4 was worth Ã,£15 IMHO. One of the best single player games in years. HL2 was crap by the way.

HL2:Ep 2 was worth Ã,£15, HL2 + Ep1 combined maybe worth Ã,£7-8 if I'm being generous, which is about what I'd value CoD4, fairly good but far too short.
Far Cry 2 is an example of the length a single player game should be to be justified in selling it for Ã,£15+ without a decent multiplayer.

Even at student rates a trip to the cinema to see a film (2hours entertainment) is Ã,£5ish. So Ã,£15 is 3 trips = 6 Hours (which is longer than CoD 4 6 hours single player campaign), Ã,£15 would buy me 9-10 Pints etc.
Multiplayer on the other hand is vast, I've play more than I care to think about. I'd happily pay Ã,£30-35 on just the multiplayer.

MW2 appears to be matching the length of the original which as I said for me means no sale without MP.
