No speed problems here.  This really does look like some kind of problem on different routes, not anything to do with Wowhead at all.

every is loading very fast for me and watched it the last couple of days but i don't get any delay at all or something weird.

It was the server. I'm starting to see some memory issues with the current webserver (not enough!) so I'm looking at upgrading this in the coming weeks.

18:56 today

Traces to forums are fine

pages taking up to 30 seconds to load.

Culprits alternate between waiting for wowhead and waiting for deadmen

might be worth checking out yslow (firefox plugin)

http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/

will give you a much better indicator to what's actualy taking ages to load.

We're upgrading webserver RAM imminently, we do not believe it is site related.  Hopefully this should help.

already done. was installed last weekend.

I used to be badly affected by this but I have had no recent issues. I've changed nothing my end so, as TL suggests, perhaps it is a routing issue.

I have made brightstar aware of this and c4l is the most likely culprit. Unfortunately they have the best interconnects to multiple places!

It will be a big help if you can post traces in so we can see what your route to the server is to help narrow down the issue.

I'll also monitor the server, as it may be a CPU thing. (This web server is getting a lot more traffic than it used to)

I have no page performance problems, but throughout this post I am waiting for "transferring date from Google-analytics", so I tend to think it is route specific to people from time to time.  Not sure what else to say until someone with the problem can post some pingplotter logs maybe or some travert showing the problem.
