After a little ventrillo chat with Ron last night about the ongoing netkar debacle and iRacing I'm willing to give it a real try.

So is there promo to get a couple months of iRacing at a lower price?
I know i just missed the $25 for 3 months deadline :ranting2:

I already ââ,¬Ëœtriedââ,¬â,,¢ the radical offer but I was so busy at the time i didn't have time to dive into it...

If you are already registered I don't think you will get any offers. They are only for new accounts.

Would uninstalling everything including cookies and registry entries and registering with your real name i.e Jurgen Klinkerhoffen, make a difference? :g:

You'd need a different credit card as well then, wouldn't you?

You could always buy a trial subscription for your 'brother' 'uncle' 'granddad' :flirty: Then later they'll be only too happy to change your name. I started as R W Attwood and later I asked the to change it to Ron Attwood. No hassle.

Apparently this wasn't even necessary, I tried to activate the "father's day" deal (3 months $25) with my own credit card I already used for the first trail account and it just seems to work. :woot2: The only thing is that there is a 2 at the end of my real name, because of two separate account with the same name.

I will send an email to the support for a name change to Katsushika Matsumoto, hope they will change it :g:

I repaired a tap in the house today so I can resubscribe to iRacing for another year.

What has repairing a tap got to do with anything? I hear you ask. Well, at a conservative estimate it would be Ã,£75 to call a plumber to fix it. Therefore I've saved that money. iRacing subs cost approximately Ã,£100 a year so I only have to find Ã,£25. That equates to 48p a week! It would be churlish not to resubscribe. Plus..$60 + $25 bonus (31st July deal) and the extra tracks and cars are not only effectively free but carry a 25% discount for the 100% club. Frankly, I don't know how they do it for the money!
Funny how life turns out eh?

:D Hah, I often do the same.. (that is, I often consider expenses that have been avoided to be "fresh, unexpected money to be spent on something I really want") It's a psychology thing.. makes it a lot easier to justify spending that way.

Last week I went shopping for a new suit jacket. Because I'm so tall, normal sized jackets often have too short sleeves, so I was prepared to spend Ã,£300 on a specially ordered one. But then was lucky enough to find one on sale for just Ã,£20. So that's Ã,£280 to spend on sim racing stuff... :norty:

Well I took the plunge:)

After a weekend of getting my SR above 3 on my Oval and Road licenses so I could be promoted on Monday. I have to say I am very impressed:woot2: My wife no so much:ranting2:  Spent too many hours on the computer this weekend!!!!

Looking forward to racing the Spec racer Ford for the first 4 tracks/races of the season. After which if I haven't won the lottery I will be hanging up my racing gear and going back to LFS to slum it again.:D

Add me too your friends list if you want.  --->Todd Martelle
