Are you meaning competitive within dMw, a la L4D Ladder that was proposed a while back, or going out into the big bad world and playing against other teams?
 
The former died because interest waned and people had other commitments. Maybe now that exams and stuff are nearing an end we could try and resurrect it?
 
For the latter we will need at least six or eight players to form one team. That should ensure that there are always enough available so we can actually field a team. We get eight regulars on Wednesday nights but are all these prepared to commit to match play when it will be on another night and at a different time?
 
Judging by the lack of interest in the fun matches, there have never been more than two teams, I think that we would be silly to try and field a competitive dMw team.

Yes they were good games. The first level was a cracker and the others were quite close, you always seemed to wriggle away at the last minute and were off and running before we could finish you off.
 
It's bizzare but we seemed to have more infected to fight and your spawn times seemed very short. Maybe it was all the excitment that seemed to cause the time dilation effect?:blink:

Myself, Frenzy and Browne have (I think) been playing with a different '4th Man' every time we've played your mob.

We could probably manage 8 dedicated players at a push, but there doesn't seem to be enough people willing to form a proper team for extra 'ladder' games. I hope to be proved wrong, of course

Just been thinking about Wednesday nights.

Must say they've been crackers of games. I know the Admins keep hammering us (I mean, last night was the first time that I've seen three consecutive 24 point scores by the admins, while we scoured a paltry 1,648 +. I would actually prefer the Stableford system but hey ho, they make the rules.

At least when Benny was playing, we knew exactly who was going to win on the night. I thought that, with him being away last night, we would have some chance, but no, they changed the rulez again on us.

Anyway, with all that said, getting back to thinking......maybe there are more players interested in taking part on Wednesday nights besides Teut, frenzy & me. We always seem to get to the forum to sign up first. Maybe we should lay back for a few days to see if anyone else is interested? Say, leave it until the day before, or two days prior?

Much as I love the craic, I'm willing to lay off for a couple of weeks to give others a chance. (I play almost every other night anyway)

Brown, I think even if you laid-off volunteering until five seconds before the actual game I don't think you would have any problems getting on the one and only team.
 
It isn't as though we've been innundated with 'why can't I play, please pick me' posts.
 
In fact if there were enough people we could run two games as we do actually have two servers!
 
I am quite happy to be proved wrong and if we can get 16 players for the next session we can play two matches. Or maybe 12 and then we can play one after the other.

Im happy to play in ladder matches or w.e they are now . I think we easily have enough interest for 3 teams. We get a full server most nights.. I myself wait for a spot on the meatlocker, rather than going to survival or coldstore. which is probably what other people do so other games dont get started.
