A good game.
We had to play with one man down as our various subs had a variety of problems, PC, connection, map etc. Or were they just excuses because they were intimidated by our record of wins that they didn't want to be the held responsible if we lost? :g:

Well first round we started as Survivours and didn't get too far, only 69 points. We did manage to kill the early Tank and get to the dock-side.
So Frenz et al had advanced warning of the Tank and loaded up on Molotovs and auto-shotties. But to now avail!!! :D Oldie played a blinder and with some careful car juggeling took two down and then floored a third in the tunnel!!. Lib then came in with a sneaky smoker and snagged the last mobile one and dragged him out-of-sight to finish them with a score of 19.

So first game comprehensively to the Admins!

Second game started reasonably for us as Survivors, but when we got to the cargo hold a Tank appeared and it was all over. Then when it was our turn and we were looking forward to repay the upstarts! And lo our tank spanned in the water and was useless and tied up one of our players for ages until he timed out and died so it was only 2 v 4.
Frenz's team gallantly aggreed that it was a bad piece of luck and that the game was void and so called a draw.

That left only the finale!

Frenz and team started off as Survivors and played a novel stategy, start off the event and race down to the mid-point, hold it for the first Tank and then down to the dock to await the Ballon. This gave them an obvious advantage of a large space to run rings around the Tank . But the Admins didn't despair, much. With a concerted effort we fought back and just as the Ballon was coming into the dock were able to seperate the Survivors and knock two off the dock. One managed to get on the Ballon but our Tank joined him and gave him a loving hug! The other Survivors were busy trying to get back but our Tank and Boomer looked after them in ways that only they know how! Game over man!

Then the server went poo and restarted.

Well it was all a foregone conclusion anyway. The worst that the Admins could get on the finale would mean a draw for that level and as they had already won the first round and the second was void that meant another win for the Admin team!

Go go Admins :yahoo:

Good job I messaged you before you started to say I was available if you needed a player then...

Aye, good games last night - well played everyone.

Last night was the furthest I think we've ever got on the Death Aboard finale. The third (yes, third) tank was already rampaging around on the dock before the balloon had even landed! Bloody hell, that's a hard finale to win :(

Can I suggest that next time, we skip the boat map with the tank bug? It's ruined several games now, would it not be better to start from an earlier level instead and then skip to the finale?

No idea on what's happened here, best thing to do if you aren't down as playing is just be around and hit Steam friends at about 8pm.

For the last 2 weeks we've been a couple short so invariably a spam 'wanna play' message goes to whoever is online.

I think you're in my list, but if not feel free to add me and I'll add you to the spamming.

Cheers

Sorry Doggers, we've got a list of standby players who've played in previous matches and start at the top and work down.
Brown dropped out just as we were about to start, some excuse about relatives turing upunexpectedly. Then Snokio said he'd be on shortly and so we started expecting him to appear at any time. Then he said he'd be on in 10-15 minutes Then 30 mins later he contacted someone else to contact us to say that his PC had died and couldn't make it.
Then Lumi stepped up and had problems with not having the map, then downloaded the latest version, which was the wrong version, and then finally getting the right version of the map just in time for it to all be over.

Actually a bit of total confusion and pants all round.

One day we'll actually get it together. :roflmao:

Sorry again Doggers.

PS Have you got Death Aboard campaign loaded? Version 6.1?

Quote from: Benny;289180I may have to bail.....I'm sure the team will be there though.

Croatia in London are making me an offer that's hard to refuse...

I too had an appointment to see Croatia, and it was worth it! 5-1, and a great performance, and Heskey gave us some great laughs too. Just outside of penalty box, receive awesome pass from Lennon, "Go on Heskey! Oh he fell over again - oh, he also kicked the keeper in the groin".
