Am I the only one who just loved this game? One of the best games I have ever played. It took quite some time to get through, even though the main story line was rather short.

Played it all the way through, side quests and everything not just the main plot, 5 times on the 360. It's the only game i've ever got all 1k achievements for (plus the extra 250 for the DLC as well). Unfortunately the missus now twitches a little if I even so much as put the soundtrack on

It had its issues. The Mako was a complete pig to drive, at least on the 360 version (I heard they fixed it for PC). The texture pop in was horrendous (as with pretty much every other Unreal Engine 3 game out there, on any platform - Mass Effect, Gears of War 1 & 2, UT3, Bioshock etc etc). The exploration element, while nice, was largely pointless as every planet was pretty much identical, most of the buildings were exactly the same inside, and anything you did there had little to no effect on anything else that happened.

That being said, I absolutely *loved* the story, and the gameplay was good and fun. Mostly I just enjoyed taking all the different conversational and plot routes to see how differently the game panned out. I wouldn't have played it 5 times and done all the side quests each time if I didn't think it was an excellent game. I have seen interviews with the devs on Gamespy and the like where they are claiming that basically everytihng I moaned about in the paragrah above has been fixed for the sequel, so i'm hoping to see some really exciting stuf at E3 this year with respect to it.

Carrot, well put! The flaws I noticed to, and what a game it could have been it was there was more diversity. But I am on my second game with my lvl 35 char and it is still fun. First time around I did not exploit all the fighting functions, but this time I will

the game is absolutely awsome...

plot is fantastic, it really sucks you in

Tho coding on the pc version is rubbish, loads of bugs that cause the game to be very unstable :s

I havn't played Mass Effect, but I thought I'd just throw in Knights of the Old Republic, if you havn't played it look out for it, made by the same peeps & well worth a play through.
