Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Despite giving Virgin Media about a month - the disconnection date is today but the reconnection date is FIVE days time! :(

No Internet, no phone, no TV (at home). How am I going to cope?  Real life? :D

Think you just have to make sure you have lots of offline-playable games ready on your computer to last a full five days :flirty:

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Set steam to offline mode so you can still play stuff.

I rang virgin media to give them 30 days notice the other week and got cut off 2 days later. I rang up they said in 24 hours they'll have fixed it and was offline for 3 days. I know your pain. I actually started leaving the house and talking to my housemates. It was terrible.

Don't know how long this will last but I have Internet at the new place! :yahoo:

I don't know if this is the last tenants' connection or mine connected early but hey ho I'm not complaining.

I don't have TV or phone though - can't have everything!

Phone? people still use landlines? It's so primitive you can't even txt, and most of the handsets don't even have colour screens.

I had one at my old house as broadband was about Ã,£10 cheaper if I had it as part of a deal. (20mb + Phoneline = Ã,£30, with about Ã,£40). With my mobile it's cheaper to use my minutes rather than landline. If you ring them up asking to quite they might give you a tasty deal. They like having you take out multiple services because when they "bundle" things you can't directly compare prices.
