Nice one. The D60 is a smart camera. I'm a complete Nikon nut. I'm sort of the same about Nikon as those Apple weirdos are about iphones and other Appley related products.

Maybe we can talk camera bo***x on Saturday and bore everyone to sleep?

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

I'm looking for a new camera atm
I've just looked at the Nikon D5000 and was about to look at the D60.
The lenses are the same as I want too....:g:

i was looking at the d5000, but as some reviews pointed out, the d60 had the same processor and unless you were willing to spend lots on exotic lenses and stuff you wouldnt really notice any differance, the 11 af points are the only real reason to buy it

The D5000 does HD video recording, although frankly video in DSLR's isn't that good.

The D5000 shoots at a faster frame rate than the D60, 4 fps rather than 3 fps

The D5000 has an articulating screen that the D60 doesn't have, although at 2.7 inches  it's smaller than the D60's3 inch screen

As Sulky mentioned it has 11 point AF rather than the 3 point on the D60

The D5000 has a little more ISO range

The general consensus is that the D5000 sits nicely between the D60 and the D90. The price difference pretty much mirrors the feature set difference, so one is not 'better' than the other per se. They're all pretty damn good cameras. You just buy the features you'll use.
