When did we lose the ability to edit our own posts

posts I made (to fix a broken link, or stupid typographical errors). It just bugged be a bit that I wasn't able to fix it, but well, its not that bad anyway.
On the other hand, I now am even more aware of my posts, and do double check it right away (which I didn't always do before), so maybe instead of not that bad, this "update" is kind of a good thing.

I just wonder, are there people that posted something radical, and then editted it on purpose, to make threads look silly?

That's the fear but as Doorman says how often would that happen? I suspect it would from time to time i.e. drunk Friday night rant is and embarrassing re-edited on Saturday morning. But fixing broken links, spellink edits etc would be more common.

Maybe we could change it on all forums except say 'Seriously though' which needs to be kept unedited IMHO and see how we get on. When a post is edited it can be seen to have been edited as well.

Hi Guys,

OK thanks for the comments.

We can see how it's causing problems for those who want to edit sticky's etc and so when Gandypedia next uplinks himself to the hive we'll see if he can pull whatever lever it is to make it so that everyone can edit their posts.

Give him a day or two then please let me know if you're still unable to do so.
