Odd way to kill an iPhone. Why not sell it and get some money back. That being said Apple do seem to be on a mission to commit PR suicide at the moment.

Banning Google Voice from the apps store was disgraceful and so obviously done to appease their sole US carrier AT&T.

Apple's instance to control the software going onto a piece of hardware that they sell is the main reason, if not the only reason I don't have an iPhone, and don't play on having an iPhone.
The hardware is stunning. The default software is stunning, but it's too locked down. Just like the iPod. No other mp3 player stops you copying files on an off it as you please, no other phone demands you only use their approved apps. It's a little too controlling for me.

Same thing puts me off, but even the standard stuff on the iphone is good! but not sure what i want from a phone, maybe one that makes phone calls :g:

I don't know why people are so easily fooled by cool ads and the like! the sheep mentality is scary.

You just need to ride the tube in London to see the hundreds of people with there white headphones constantley, endless scrolling scrolling through the menus.

Most people I know with Ipoods or phones download these apts rave on about it for 4 minutes and then never use it again!

I have used both Ipoods and mac's and tbh I don't see what all the fuss is about? didnt notice any great difference from my Nokia in terms of having a phone that plays music and video and I just found using a mac annoying.

The barretta was cool though.

Dogmatism at it's greatest. Just because YOU don't like it you're saying that everyone should subscribe to your view.

Having a view is one thing, patronising us by saying we're all dumb for having one and we're all swayed by cool ads is another. You have no possible point of reference for that apart from the few friends you know who have one.... bit weak on the mkt research for such a sweeping statement if you ask me.

I wasn't suggesting anyone should be influenced or should copy my view.
All I said was I have tried apple and was unimpressed by them, especially due to the cost difference betweeen apple and everything else.
