Server Passwords

I'm using the Steam provided server list and game joining thing but it prompts for the server password every time. Any way of getting it to remember it?

Was using All Seeing Eye but thats not working because its pointing to the old Seirra folder and I don't know what file to point it to in the Steam folder.

Any help , thx guys

create desktop shortcut from Steam "games" menu then edit the shortcut to point to server:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 10 +connect homer.deadmen.co.uk:27015 +password xxxxxx

I think for the short-term we ought to make the password public, IE on the forum and website..... must admit it caught me out.

Also future passwords should be word in elite spellings so it easy to remember.

Also HLSW doesn't launch steam either. It will see 1.6 servers and give all the usual info about them. And yes I have changed it so it launches hl.exe from my steam folders. I have also upgraded to the latest beta HLSW but I can't get it to work.

Hi, Toxteth here  
Having terrible problems with steam, pings massive and lags terrible... But i can't even get on dMw whenever i type the PW in, it just says badpassword and wont let me in. Has it changed???

PW hasn't changed. However, a few people are getting that message.

How are you trying it??

If you do it from inside CS i get the same problem but if you do it from desktop it works everytime.

i enter the pw when prompted by steam....(there doesn't seem to be a way of saving it either)

how do you mean from desktop?

Double click smal icon on task bar, brings up servers, find MH or Baldric double click(or click connect) the password box will appear, enter the known passy and thats it. Rather than open steam go into cs then look for servers.

HLSW can run Steam, rather than telling ppl to suck eggs if anyone wants to know how post a reply and ask and I will tell all (Well almost all    )
